The Most Appealing Feature for Homebuyers
What do you think most homebuyers would like of their dream home? Well it wasn't "tiny" because in a recent real estate study by Yahoo, only 5% of homebuyers wanted a tiny house.
The highest rated feature that homebuyers selected of a dream home was "green or energy-efficient" at 50%! The next highest categories tied at 38% were water views and building a custom home.
Several years ago, Austin passed an energy ordinance requiring home sellers provide an energy audit report to the buyer demonstrating information on the energy efficiency of the property.

Homebuyers Use REALTORS
inSharAccording to the National Association of REALTORS®,
more homebuyers are choosing to work with a REALTOR than purchase on
their own. And why not? Buyer representation is of no cost to the buyer
because commissions are paid by the seller and the buyer gets the
benefit of a professional with more experience than himself.
The 2011 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers show that in
2001 only 69% of home buyers chose to use a REALTOR while purchasing
directly from a builder or homeowner and in 2011 the number climbed to
89%. The breakdown is 7% purchasing directly from the builder and only 4%
purchased directly from a for-sale-by-owner.The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.
