Selling Homes in Austin

It must be that time of year. It appears to be a great time to put your home on the market in Austin. Active listings are down! 8,605 in February which was the latest reporting period by Austin Board of REALTORS (ABOR.) And I experienced the difference when my buyer wrote an offer for a house the second day it was on the market only to be told that they were the THIRD offer and the first, a cash offer, had already been accepted. When we submitted a backup offer, we were told the second offer had already submitted a backup offer and they didn't want another one.

Remembering France

Two years ago we traveled to France to participate in a WWII commemorative event. It was an amazing experience and we met some wonderful people that were part of our commemorative. Interestingly, Katherine lives only 30 minutes up the road and we had our second reunion party at her house. Katherine and her nephew Doug were in Connerre with my husband John, daughter Elle and I.
