With the new city budget budget in place as of October 1, the property
tax rate will increase from 48.11 cents per $100 of property value to
50.29 cents per $100 of property value. That could mean a tax increase
for about $877 for a median-priced home.
There are 11 new buildings planned for the Austin downtown area with
four in progress! This suggests a continued planned recovery for the
Austin area. Some of the projects include hotles such as JW Marriott a
47-story mixed-use tower with a planetarium as well as apartment and
condos on Rainey Street.
This sweet condo in east Austin was on the market for an extended time
with 3 offers refused and finally the acceptable offer extended the
closing date 3 times for a total of 2 months! However, we finally closed
