Median Sales Price: $200,000 - UP .5% from SEPTEMBER 2012

Days on Market: 67 - UNCHANGED from SEPTEMBER 2012

Active Listings: 5,737 - DOWN 16% from SEPTEMBER 2012

Leonard Guerrero, Chairman of the Austin Board of REALTORS®, explained, “The typical lull of the Thanksgiving holiday did not slow down the Austin real estate market. This is the strongest November housing market we’ve seen since the recession.”

What a great time to buy! Interest rates are still really low and prices haven't gone up much but given the low inventory (active listings) we are looking at a switch to a seller's market.

Fire Island Vacation

We vacationed this summer at Fire Island, NY with our daughters family. It was a great place to spend time. When we walked out of the house, we looked to the left and could see the foot bridge over the dune to the beach and when we looked to the right, we could see the shops and the pier on the other side of the island. We stayed at Ocean Beach and hope to go back again every summer.
