Terminating a Residential Real Estate Contract in Texas

In Texas, a Texas Association of REALTORS promulgated 1-4 Family Residential Contract to purchase a property for sale (which is the form that REALTORS use) includes an Option Termination clause giving the buyer the UNRESTRICTED RIGHT to terminate within the time allowable and receive the earnest money back. Unrestricted means you do not have to give a reason.
