The Texas Department of Transportation and the Central Texas Regional
Mobility Authority are working on improvements and additions to our
toll system.
• The Manor Expressway (Hwy 290) is open for 1.5 miles or road from
US183 to just east of Springdale in east Austin. Eventually it will be a
6 mile stretch to be completed in 2014.
• There is an environmental study working to determine whether to add 6 tolled lanes on 7 miles of road from Hwy 290 to Hwy 71.
• There is a proposal to do an environmental study to determine the
benefit of adding express toll lanes to on US 183 in the grassy median
from Loop 1 (MoPac) to RM 620.
• There is a plan to start construction on express lanes on Loop 1
(MoPac) adding 1 tolled lane in each direction from Parmer to Lady Bird
Lake in April and this project may take 2 1/2 years.
