Comparing Austin Home Prices

To the rest of Texas metro areas? Austinites love Austin and are willing to pay to live here. According to the Novemeber issue of Community Impact Newspaper, Austin is the most expensive Texas metro area with a median home price of $227,600. Home values are high in Austin and apparently residents are happy to pay to live here.

By comparison, Fort Worth at $137,500, Dallas at $202,300, Houston at $187,800 and San Antonio at $176,400.

Did you know the holidays can be a dangerous time of year? Don’t let these holiday hazards mess with your merry this season!
1: Dangerous Decorating – Always place ladders on level ground, stay centered between the rails, and never overreach or step on the top two rungs.
2: Plastic Packaging Peril – Use caution when opening tricky packaging with scissors or sharp knives.
3: Seasonal Sledding – Choose a gently sloping hill, always point feet downhill, wear proper safety gear, and never sled on or around frozen water.
4: Accidental Poisoning – Keep alcoholic spirits, toxic holiday plants and medications out of the reach of children.
5: Holiday Heart Attacks – Watch out for signs of a holiday heart attack triggered by stress, heavy meals, and skipping medication.
6: Festive Fire Hazards – Use caution with candles, keep the tree away from heat sources, and never overload electrical circuits.
7: Slip and Fall Accidents – Keep walkways clear of snow and ice, and if necessary, use salt or gravel to improve traction.
