Homebuyers Use REALTORS

SharAccording to the National Association of REALTORS®, more homebuyers are choosing to work with a REALTOR than purchase on their own. And why not? Buyer representation is of no cost to the buyer because commissions are paid by the seller and the buyer gets the benefit of a professional with more experience than himself.
The 2011 Profile of Home Buyers and Sellers show that in 2001 only 69% of home buyers chose to use a REALTOR while purchasing directly from a builder or homeowner and in 2011 the number climbed to 89%. The breakdown is 7% purchasing directly from the builder and only 4% purchased directly from a for-sale-by-owner.

The Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR®) designation is the benchmark of excellence in buyer representation.
