Red River Free Week 
Time: Starting Sunday, Jan 1
Location: The Mohawk, 917 Red River St
A yearly Austin tradition. In January, Transmission Entertainment, Red 7 and Mohawk will bring you some of our favorite local bands for nine straight nights! Lots of bands, lots of new sounds and all free!

Star of Texas Tattoo Art Revival

Time: Friday - Sunday, Jan 13 - 15, opens @ 12pm

Location: Palmer Events Center, 900 Barton Springs Rd.
Hundreds of tattoo artists from around the world converge in Austin for this festival, featuring contests, seminars, live bands, vendors and more!
Price: $15 each day

14th Annual Austin Home & Garden Show 
Time: Friday, Jan 13, 2p-7p
Saturday, Jan 14, 10a-7p
Sunday, Jan 15, 11a-5p

Location: Austin Convention Center, 500 E. Cesar Chavez
This year's show has fresh ideas for home and garden along with celebrity television stars, Donna Moss from HGTV's Donna Decorates Dallas, and Ted Siebert of the Sand Sculpture Company!

Price: $6.00 - $8.00

MLK Day of Service 2012 
Date: Saturday, Jan 14, 8:00am - noon

Location: Huston-Tillotson College Davage-Durden Union Building, 900 Chicon St United Way Capital Area and Hands on Central Texas invite you to celebrate Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with a day of service. In January of 2011, more than 700 volunteers came together to complete over 20 community improvement projects throughout Austin. They need your help now more than ever. Please join us and bring friends, family and co-workers. Free

Sip & Savor Austin 
Dates: Jan 19th - Jan 29th

Location: Various restaurants and bars in Austin
Brought to you by Launch787 (Austin Fashion Week, Modern Home Tour, Outdoor Living Tour), Sip & Savor Austin is a city-wide food and drink celebration featuring everything from food trailers to 5-star restaurants, dive bars to swanky nightclubs.

Austin Gorilla Run 
Time: Saturday, Jan 21, 9am

Location: Fado Irish Pub, 214 W. 4th St.
A 5k through the streets of Austin3;IN FULL GORILLA COSTUME! Runners/walkers/bikers/skaters are all welcome. All proceeds benefit the Mountain Gorilla Conservation Fund, protecting the Mountain Gorilla and creating jobs in Uganda, Rwanda, and The Democratic Republic of Congo. Finish at Fado Irish pub where an After Party will be held with free food and drinks featuring music by Achachay! Did we mention, you get to keep the Gorilla suit?

Free Day of Dance

Location: Various Studios all around Austin
With free dance classes being offered all over the city.

Broadway Across America Presents "Wicked"
